Leecher Mountain Fire Lookout 2024
My good buddy, Elliott Almond, was commissioned by the Seattle Times to write an article on “Lightening Bill” Austin, the caretaker of the Leecher Mountain Fire Lookout outside Twisp, WA. We were invited to spend the night, and I was able to capture some amazing photos. Sunrise, sunset, and even some stars. It was magical. I went along as Elliott’s staff photographer. We also met Christina, the volunteer caretaker of the Goat Mountain Lookout across the valley. What a hoot!
